Role Overview:

As the Assistant Manager Business Development, you will be responsible for managing and driving the organizations business growth strategy.

This management position involves leading market research initiatives, overseeing client engagement activities, managing proposal processes, and building strategic partnerships.

The role demands a strong business acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution:

- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the companys goals.

- Identify emerging market trends and align offerings to capture new opportunities.

Team & Process Management:

- Manage lead tracking, Go/No-Go processes, and pipeline reporting for leadership.

- Coordinate with proposal, technical, and marketing teams to ensure timely and quality bid submissions.

- Mentor junior executives and ensure adherence to business development best practices.

Client & Partner Engagement:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to enhance revenue opportunities.

- Establish partnerships with national and international players to expand the companys reach.

- Represent the company in pre-bid meetings, industry forums, and client presentations.

Business Analysis & Reporting:

- Maintain dashboards, trackers, and reports for senior management.

- Provide insights on market opportunities, competitor analysis, and business risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).

- MBA or equivalent is a plus.

- 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development, with at least 23 years in a management or supervisory role.

- Strong understanding of bidding, proposal management, and client acquisition processes in infrastructure/consulting sectors.

- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, manage teams, and deliver results under tight deadlines
