Principal responsibilities
- Engage with Business, Data and IT team to support the implementation of Metadata Management solution and Business Data Layer
- Create and maintain source aligned data products as per agreed template, guidelines and principles
- Work closely with Data Architecture and Governance team to discover metadata we need to manage and help to automate the collection of Metadata
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to design and implement metadata usage
- Ensure the quality and integrity of Metadata
- Monitor overall health and usage of Metadata and Data Products and provide insights to improve user experience
- Define various KPIs to measure the effectiveness of Data Products
- Provide ongoing support for metadata/Data products implementation, testing and integration
- Provide expertise and support to enable customers to be self-sufficient in their data needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make sure strategic solutions aligns with Data Strategy
Qualifications - External
- Previous experience of working in a Global Data Organisation and comfortable with Data Management activities
- Good understanding of all aspects of Data and Metadata management including data cataloguing
- Experience in working with any Metadata management or Data Catalogue tool
- Knowledge of Data Modelling/Metadata Modelling (MetaModel)
- Basic understanding of Data products
- Typical qualifications would include a Bachelors degree / equivalent.
- Good team player who can work with global and local functional team members in different time zones and who can foster and maintain good relationships.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
- Ability to clearly articulate concepts and issues and translate theory into practical business solutions.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in a global environment is desirable.
- Asset Management experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
