AugRay - Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI and SQL Scripting to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building interactive dashboards, writing complex SQL queries, and transforming raw data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that support business objectives.

- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.

- Build and manage data models in Power BI using DAX and Power Query.

- Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing quality checks and validation processes.

- Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations to consolidate data from multiple sources.

- Monitor performance of reports and dashboards; implement optimizations as needed.

- Stay up to date with BI tools, best practices, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modeling).

- Strong proficiency in SQL scripting (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or other dialects).

- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

- Familiarity with other BI tools like Tableau or Looker (a plus).

- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (optional).

- Experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
