Position Overview:
This position is dedicated to expanding Employee Benefit Insurance by delivering appropriate insurance solutions to our SME and larger corporate clients, in collaboration with our existing Banking Relationship Manager or through direct acquisition as an individual contributor. Additionally, this role entails utilizing customer data in conjunction with the Analytics team, market insights, and innovative strategies to improve customer engagement, foster product innovation, re-engineer processes, and drive revenue growth via effective cross-selling initiatives and proper collaboration with insurance partners.
The responsibilities associated with this role include the following:
Key responsibilities encompass - acquiring new clients through direct sales, cross-selling to existing corporate customers for GMC, GTLI, GPA, and other employee benefits products. Engaging with insurance companies for quotes and claims. Formulating a business plan for a portfolio of clients and prospects to achieve specific retention and sales objectives for the region. Maintaining and enhancing existing client relationships, with a retention rate of 95%. Managing a portfolio of several large accounts directly through a structured process-
Coverage Design & Analysis:
- Provide detailed summaries and gap analysis of insurance coverage based on IRDA guidelines and current market benchmarks.
- Assist clients in selecting appropriate group insurance products by comparing quotes and policy terms using structured spreadsheets.
Policy Placement & Servicing:
- Coordinate the entire placement process RFQ issuance, insurer negotiations, policy issuance, and endorsements (premium/inclusion/exclusion adjustments)
- Manage renewal cycles proactively with timely follow-ups, compliance checks, and policy documentation reviews.
- Candidates must have the, Great communication skill, Negotiation & consistency and have the ability to work with cross functional Team .- Serve as a trusted advisor to key client stakeholders (including CXOs), providing insights and solutions in the employee benefits space.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to key client stakeholders (including CXOs), providing insights and solutions in the employee benefits space.
- Monitor client organization changes to maintain strategic relationships and enhance service delivery.
Program Planning & Execution:
- Collaborate with TPAs and insurers to design and execute employee wellness programs; manage implementation calendars and ensure timely delivery.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Stay updated with IRDA circulars and regulatory changes; conduct periodic market comparisons and share recommendations with clients.
- Support reporting requirements for compliance, performance tracking, and internal audits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Insurance, Finance, HR, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Group Health Insurance, Employee Benefits, or Corporate Insurance Placement or Corporate Sales
- Solid understanding of IRDA regulations and the group insurance landscape in India.
- Experience in dealing with large corporate clients, preferably in a broking, consulting, or insurance setup.
