About the Role

Were looking for a sharp, motivated, and thoughtful Labour Law Associate to join our team in Mumbai. If you have a solid grounding in Indian employment law and enjoy work thats as much about people as it is about policy, this might be a great fit.

Youll work on real-world matters that impact businesses and their people compensation structuring, compliance with the new labour codes, strategic exits, due diligence, and everything in between. The work is complex, yes, but if youre someone who likes to solve problems and see your advice in action, youll feel right at home.

What Youll Be Doing

- Reviewing compensation structures to evaluate PF, ESI, gratuity, and other statutory obligations

- Advising on how the New Labour Codes will impact employment and compensation frameworks

- Helping clients rework salary structures to balance compliance with efficiency

- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and separation documents

- Conducting legal research, writing advisory notes, and staying ahead of regulatory changes

- Running audits and due diligence for M&A, business restructuring, or compliance health-checks

- Supporting businesses during mass exits, closures, or voluntary retirement schemes

- Advising on contract labour arrangements, safety standards, and retrenchment practices

- Responding to labor law queries and preparing clients for regulatory inspections

What Were Looking For

- A law degree (LL.B.) from a recognized university

- 35 years of experience in labour and employment law

- Solid understanding of compensation structures and statutory contributions

- Strong legal research and drafting skills

- A client-friendly communicator who can simplify complex ideas

- Prior experience with audits, due diligence, or regulatory support is a plus

- Someone whos curious, reliable, and enjoys keeping up with legal developments
