What you'll do:
You'll be responsible for making company the top choice for kirana retailers to buy FMCG products. That means growing sales, profits, and customer satisfaction by planning and executing the right category strategy.
In simple words, your role will involve:
- Understanding kirana retailers' needs through visits, data, and market research.
- Planning yearly and monthly growth strategies for the category and ensuring execution.
- Choosing the right product assortment, keeping prices competitive, and ensuring availability.
- Driving traffic, improving product discovery, and running promotions to boost sales.
- Owning the category's P&L (sales, profits, costs, and customer experience).
- Working with different teams (buyers, marketing, supply chain, product, operations) to improve performance and solve issues.
- Hiring and mentoring a team to expand category success across 50-100 cities.
Who they're looking for:
- Strong in analytics, planning, and data-driven decision making.
- Good at communication, negotiation, and influencing stakeholders.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and willing to go into the field.
- Able to work with tech/product teams and create scalable processes.
- Ideally, with FMCG, brand marketing, consulting, or entrepreneurial experience, and passion for food & grocery.
