Function Overview:

The Assistant Vice President - PMO, Distribution Efficiency will lead the Project Management Office for Distribution Efficiency and spearhead critical board-level strategic initiatives. This role will focus on key business imperatives such as cost optimization, improving span of control, and driving productivity by embedding digital innovation and AI-led solutions across Distribution Efficiency projects. The role will report to the central strategy team.

Job Role:

- Collaborate with the leadership team on the design and deployment of both short-term and long-term strategic business objectives.

- Analyze, structure, and bring key business insights and trade-offs to the table for management decision-making.

- Act as a key stakeholder in expansion and business development - working alongside management in ideating, implementing, and monitoring channel expansion and improving efficiencies.

- Participate in key organization strategic initiatives and partner with other functions for deployment.

- Provide inputs on organization goals to business planning, finance, and other functional teams to drive the agenda.

- Undertake market and financial analysis of key competitors and identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Project Leadership:

- Lead end-to-end execution of high-impact projects aligned with board priorities - specifically around cost optimization, productivity acceleration, and workforce structure.

- Partner with business and HR leaders to translate strategy into structured programs with measurable outcomes.

- Drive strategic change management and transformation initiatives across the Distribution function.

PMO Governance & Execution Excellence:

- Establish and drive PMO frameworks, project governance, risk assessment, and performance dashboards.

- Deploy industry-best methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) to ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery.

- Lead flagship transformation programs ensuring alignment with business goals.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

- Leverage advanced analytics, customer behavior insights, and internal data to identify patterns and recommend proactive interventions.

- Design AI-enabled dashboards, predictive models, and data intelligence solutions for decision support.

Technology & Innovation Leadership:

- Drive adoption of digital tools, AI, automation, and next-gen technologies in project delivery and operations.

- Create scalable, tech-powered frameworks for resource allocation, process efficiency, and cost control.

Stakeholder & Change Management:

- Act as a trusted advisor to CXOs, HRBPs, and Distribution Heads, ensuring alignment and transparency.

- Lead communication plans, business reviews, and board reporting with actionable insights and impact assessments.

Talent & Capability Building:

- Build a high-performing PMO team with cross-functional expertise in HR, analytics, and transformation.

- Coach and mentor project managers, analysts, and key stakeholders on strategic thinking and innovation.

Key Skills & Attributes:

- Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of the Sales Distribution world and the BFSI industry.

- Proven experience leading large-scale transformation and cost optimization projects.

- Strong analytical and digital acumen - familiarity with AI/ML, CRM, automation, and digital dashboards.

- Demonstrated expertise in project governance, performance tracking, and risk mitigation.

- Collaborative, persuasive, and confident communicator across all organizational levels.
