Assistant Vice President - Legal & Compliance - NBFC/Trade Finance - CS/LLB/LLM

Our client is a Factoring NBFC and focusing on the domestic and export factoring and structured transactions in the trade space.

Our client is seeking a well experienced and seasoned Legal Expert within financial services or NBFC/Trade Finance sector.

The candidate will be responsible for providing legal and compliance advise and support across business functions, ensuring legal compliances.

This role will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters including contracts, litigation, regulatory interactions, corporate governance, and strategic legal advisory to support the Company's growth and mitigate legal risks.

Qualifications:

- LLB or LLM from a reputed university; Company Secretary (CS) qualification is a plus.

- 12+ years of post-qualification experience with a strong background in NBFCs or Banks

- Strong knowledge of NBFC regulations, RBI guidelines, corporate laws, and financial legal frameworks.

- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to lead legal functions in a dynamic, fast-paced financial environment.

- Good product knowledge of loans and financial assistance provided by banks and NBFCs
