Assistant Vice President - Business Development
Position: AVP/VP BD & OPs.
Location: Gurgaon.
Working Days: Monday Friday (Alternative Saturdays working).
Experience Required: 10 + years.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the Hotel Management Vertical as a standalone P&L unit.
- Develop strategic plans for vertical growth, market expansion, and long-term sustainability.
- Monitor KPIs on revenue, student intake, placement rate, and industry partner satisfaction.
Industry & Partnership Development
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with top hotels, resorts, and hospitality groups (domestic & international).
- Negotiate MoUs and long-term agreements for training, internships, and placements.
- Collaborate with industry bodies and associations.
Operations & Program Delivery
- Oversee seamless operations of the program across partner locations.
- Ensure effective coordination between academic team, industry mentors, and partner institutions.
- Implement SOPs for training, assessments, compliance, and student welfare at partner sites.
Academic Excellence
- Work with the Dean/Academic Heads to ensure curriculum is industry-relevant and experiential.
- Introduce innovations in teaching, learning, and skill assessment tailored to hospitality industry needs.
- Maintain high student satisfaction and learning outcomes through quality delivery.
Student Recruitment & Placement
- Lead student recruitment drives in collaboration with the admissions & marketing teams.
- Drive placement initiatives ensuring 100% career outcomes for graduates.
- Organize career fairs, industry talks, and immersion programs.
Branding & Representation
- Represent MSU and IAC HHM in industry forums, events, and conferences.
- Work closely with marketing for brand building, PR, and digital presence of the vertical.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Education: MBA / Masters in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field.
- Experience: 12 to 18 years in leadership roles in hospitality education, hotel operations, or industry partnerships.
- Proven track record in business development, industry relations, and academic program leadership.
- Strong network in the hospitality & tourism sector.
