General Requirements for Candidates:

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience:

- Qualified professionals: 2.5 -4 years of relevant corporate tax experience from mid-size CA firms, global firms, or relevant companies.

- Non-qualified professionals: 6-8 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities (Corporate Tax):

- Corporate Tax Compliance: Handling advance tax workings, TDS/TCS computation, filing of quarterly returns, ITR filings, and tax audit reports.

- Litigations: Drafting assessments, preparing appeals, and conducting legal research. Drafting opinions and submissions.

- Team Management: Managing and guiding analysts and senior analysts to ensure quality and efficiency.

Specific Role: Foreign Portfolio Investor (FPI)

- The FPI role will require specialized tax expertise to manage the unique tax-related challenges and compliance requirements for foreign portfolio investors. The FPI domain deals with managing tax compliance and advisory services related to the complex tax regime that governs foreign portfolio investments in India.

Key Responsibilities for the FPI Role:

FPI Taxation Compliance:

- Ensuring compliance with the relevant FPI tax regulations, including advance tax computations, withholding tax requirements, and other periodic tax filings.

Litigation and Representation:

- Drafting submissions and appeals in case of disputes with tax authorities.

- Representing FPI clients in discussions with tax authorities and assisting with tax assessments and audits.

Research and Interpretation:

- Conducting research on domestic and international tax laws as they apply to FPIs.

- Keeping updated on tax law changes and interpreting new regulations or court rulings that affect FPIs.

Team Leadership:

- Leading and managing a team of analysts to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality services to clients in the FPI space.

- Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, while fostering innovation and process improvement.
