Assistant Manager - Demand Planning - Supply Chain

AM Demand Planning - Bangalore with German MNC

Role & responsibilities:

Demand Planning & Forecasting:

- Develop and execute demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business intelligence.

- Analyse sales data, seasonality, and promotional activities to enhance forecast accuracy.

- Work closely with sales, Technical, Finance and supply chain teams to align demand planning with business objectives.

- Utilize statistical models and demand planning software to improve forecasting efficiency.

Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization:

- Maintain optimal inventory levels by balancing demand fluctuations and supply constraints.

- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure product availability.

- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Monitor key demand planning KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, inventory turnover, etc.).

- Generate demand planning reports and provide insights to senior management.

- Identify demand risks and propose mitigation strategies

Preferred candidate profile:

- Experience: 8-12 years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.

- Strong proficiency in demand planning software and advanced excel skills.

- Strong Knowledge in SAP IBP Tool is a plus
