Job Description

Title: Assistant Manager - Business Development

Experience : 7 to 12 years

Location: Chennai

Role And Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager - Business Development to join our team and drive business expansion efforts in the 3PL warehousing space.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strong experience in selling inbound & outbound services, primary & secondary transportation, last-mile delivery, warehousing, space selling, and in-plant logistics

- Actively identify and pursue new customer opportunities; drive topline growth and expand the customer base in Tamil Nadu and surrounding regions

- Collaborate with operations and solutions teams to create and deliver customized solutions

- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders

- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to shape strategic sales plans

- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

- Maintain CRM tools with accurate forecasting and reporting for management

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Proven success in business development and B2B client management

- Strong network in manufacturing, retail, FMCG, pharma, and industrial sectors

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

- Highly self-driven with a results-oriented approach

Market Research & Strategy

- Identify potential markets, industries, and clients.

- Analyze competitors, industry trends, and customer needs.

- Develop strategies for market entry and expansion.

Lead Generation & Prospecting

- Source and qualify leads through research, networking, events, and referrals.

- Reach out to potential clients via calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc.

- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

Client Relationship Management

- Build long-term relationships with clients and partners.

- Understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions.

- Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
