Role Summary:

We are hiring for a senior engineering professional to join our leadership team at the Bangalore plant. The role will report directly to the AVP Engineering and will be responsible for driving operational excellence across maintenance, utilities, preventive strategies, and plant infrastructure. The ideal candidate should bring deep expertise in pharmaceutical engineering, a mechanical background, and leadership experience within softgel or OSD facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead all engineering functions related to preventive maintenance, utilities, equipment uptime, and facility infrastructure.

- Develop and implement a robust preventive and predictive maintenance program for all critical equipment and systems to ensure minimal breakdowns and maximum operational efficiency.

- Ensure smooth functioning and reliability of plant equipment including encapsulation machines, chillers, HVAC, WFI/RO systems, and AHUs.

- Lead a team of engineers and technicians; ensure their development, technical capability, and adherence to maintenance protocols.

- Ensure engineering readiness for regulatory inspections (USFDA, MHRA, WHO, etc.) and maintain audit-compliant documentation at all times.

- Collaborate with production, quality, validation, and EHS teams for integrated operational efficiency and compliance.

- Support capital projects and plant upgrades; assist AVP Engineering in execution and commissioning of new systems.

- Drive initiatives for energy efficiency, downtime reduction, and cost-effective maintenance practices.

- Manage engineering documentation including SOPs, maintenance schedules, calibration records, deviations, and CAPAs as per cGMP standards.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Background:

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)

Experience:

- 12 to 18 years of engineering experience in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

- Experience in softgel or oral solid dosage (OSD) facilities is highly preferred

- Strong knowledge and hands-on involvement in preventive maintenance systems and audit preparedness

- Minimum 4 to 5 years in a leadership or managerial engineering role

- Must have participated in regulatory audits and inspections (USFDA, MHRA, WHO, etc.)
