Primary Job functions:.

- This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.

- The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in evaluating and making determinations based on background check results and Matrix.

- This includes reviewing criminal history, employment verification, education credentials, and other relevant information to assess suitability for employment.

- A strong understanding of compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing background checks is essential.

- The candidate should demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.

- Experience in auditing I-9 forms for accuracy and identifying potential issues or fraud with relevant documents.

- Familiarity with auditing requisitions for you pay transparency laws and regulations, ensuring compliance, and staying updated on any changes for policy updates.

- Experience with Excel, including creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, dashboards, and reporting.

- A proactive individual who takes the initiative to complete tasks, thinks creatively during audits, and can recommend process improvements.

- Provides assistance to the HR Transformation/Shared Services HR Compliance team in identifying, maintaining and communicating Ashley's annual Core Values Compliance Training programs.

- Conducts internal reviews and audits of policies, procedures and training related to HR, legal and regulatory requirements, identifying possible violations and recommending proactive corrective measures.

- Leads project initiatives to implement corrective action measures.

- Participates in HR compliance related projects including developing project schedules, milestones and communication strategies for projects.

- Creates reports needed for internal staff, and in support of audit and compliance activities, and responds to questions regarding submitted reports.

- Prepares basic policies upon request for new or existing policies in a draft form to be further reviewed and edited by HR and legal.

- Orders and tracks all state and federal compliance posters for all locations and inspects to ensure posters are visual and legible, and current to state or federal mandates.

- Identifies emerging compliance issues, collects, analyzes and tracks compliance-related data, and prepares resource materials to share with HR Compliance or legal teams.

- Demonstrate the Company's Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

- Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent work experience required.

Experience:

- 2 years' experience within Human Resources or legal, working in an audit and compliance capacity.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Demonstrated knowledge of identifying compliance risk and providing methods to mitigate risk.

- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Effective time management and organizational skills.

- Work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Document management system.

- Analytical and problem solving skills.

- Maintain confidentiality.

- Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints.

- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet.

- Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment.

- Work professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treating both with enthusiasm and respect.

- Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee issues or inquiries.

- Knowledge with Check background vendor a plus!

- Knowledge with immigration laws, leave of absence, and employee relations a plus.
