Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Role Summary:
As an Area Sales Manager, you will lead and drive business growth within your assigned territory. Your focus will be on sourcing, building, and managing client relationships while ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets. The role requires a proactive mindset with strong execution capabilities in financial services sales.
Key Responsibilities (KRA):
- Drive loan origination and disbursal for MSME and SME clients in the assigned area
- Identify and onboard new channel partners, DSAs, and direct clients
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and ensure consistent portfolio growth
- Conduct regular market visits to generate leads and assess client requirements
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business
- Collaborate with credit and operations teams to ensure smooth processing of applications
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to devise effective sales strategies
- Ensure timely follow-up, documentation, and closure of sales leads
- Maintain data accuracy and reporting in CRM tools
- Ensure adherence to internal compliance and credit policies
Required Skill Sets:
- Strong knowledge of MSME/SME lending products and financial services
- Proven experience in direct/indirect lending, sales, or channel development
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Sound understanding of credit evaluation and financial ratios
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
- Relationship management and client servicing skills
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
Preferred Industry Background:
- NBFCs, Banks, Fintechs, or other financial institutions with exposure to SME/MSME lending
