Job Title: Area Sales Manager - FMCG Experienced Mandatory


Location: Tezpur


Job Summary: As an Area Sales Manager in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributor and retailer relationships, and leading a team of sales representatives within a designated geographic area. Your mission is to maximize market penetration, achieve sales targets, and ensure brand visibility across channels.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy & Execution:


- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet area targets.


- Forecast monthly and quarterly sales based on market trends and historical data.


- Monitor primary and secondary sales performance.


Team Leadership:


- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives.


- Set clear KPIs and provide regular coaching and performance feedback.


- Motivate the team to achieve individual and collective goals.


Channel & Distribution Management:


- Manage relationships with distributors, super stockists, and retailers.


- Ensure optimal product availability and visibility in stores.


- Plan and execute trade promotions and merchandising activities.


Market Intelligence:


- Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics.


- Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.


- Provide insights to senior management for strategic planning.


Reporting & Compliance:


- Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and team activities.


- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management.


- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.


Qualifications: Post Graduation


Experience: Min 6-8 years of experience in food & dairy division.
