Job Purpose
- The Architect of the project will be responsible for driving the architectural vision, strategy, and execution of luxury real estate and hospitality projects assigned to him / her.
- The role requires a leader with a deep understanding of Indian architectural styles, regional nuances, and global luxury standards.
- This position focuses on delivering high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects that combine aesthetic excellence, sustainability, and functional design while complying with Indian regulations and market demands.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from a recognized Indian or global institution (e.g., B.Arch. / M.Arch).
Registered with the Council of Architecture (COA), India.
Certifications in sustainable design (IGBC, LEED AP, GRIHA) or project management (PMP) are preferred.
Experience:
15+ years of experience in architectural design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated expertise in delivering luxury residential projects, luxury hotels, resorts, or commercial high-rises.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects across diverse regions.
Experience working with premium clients, luxury brands, and international consultants is an added advantage.
Major Accountabilities:
Architectural Strategy and Design Vision
- Develop and implement a comprehensive architectural vision for luxury real estate and hospitality projects as required.
- Incorporate Indian heritage and cultural elements into designs while balancing modern luxury and global trends.
- Drive sustainable and innovative architectural practices suited to Indian climatic conditions and urban environments.
- Understand in depth, the statutory approval process and see that it is incorporated in to the final plans, both in letter and spirit.
Design Leadership and Quality Management
- Lead the end-to-end design process from concept, master planning, and schematic design to execution.
- Approve architectural designs, ensuring alignment with luxury standards and in strict compliance with local municipal regulations (e.g., RERA, NBC, local zoning laws).
- Conduct regular design reviews and audits to ensure quality, innovation, and adherence to timelines and approval guidelines.
Project Management
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery within time and cost constraints.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to ensure seamless design execution.
- Resolve design-related challenges effectively while maintaining project schedules.
- As a Project Architect, you will be required to sign RERA submission documents as part of project compliance.
- Meet BMC officials, to explain specifics, assist in site visits during project inspections.
- BMC statutory authority integration will be a major part of your workflow.
Sustainability and Innovation
- Promote eco-friendly architecture, including green building practices, use of sustainable materials, and energy-efficient designs (e.g., IGBC, GRIHA, LEED standards).
- Integrate emerging technologies like Building Information Modeling (BIM), smart building systems, and automation into projects.
Team Development and Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of architects and designers to maintain excellence in design and execution.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with senior management, clients, investors, and regulatory authorities to align project objectives and design delivera-bles.
- Present architectural concepts, project progress, and design milestones to internal and external stakeholders.
- Take on board, comments or constructive criticism in a structured and professional manner, resolving possible conflicts of opinion, with face to face interactions, instead of email debates which waste time and achieve nothing.
