Position - App Product and Business Manager
Job Description :
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Product and Business Manager to lead the growth, adoption, and success of our innovative Android app tailored for rural India. This role requires deep understanding of the rural market, strong marketing and product development acumen, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities :
Marketing & User Acquisition:
- Design and execute marketing campaigns customized for rural audiences, using regional languages, local influencers, and offline channels.
- Work with agent networks to provide marketing materials, training, and incentives to boost app downloads and engagement.
- Drive user education campaigns for app features such as UPI payments, e-commerce, e-learning, and voice calling.
Product Strategy & Roadmap :
- Collaborate with product and tech teams to define and prioritize feature enhancements based on rural user needs.
- Build and manage a product roadmap aligned with company objectives and market trends.
- Identify new service opportunities like agricultural tools, micro-loans, classifieds, or insurance for rural consumers.
Business Development & Growth :
- Formulate and implement go-to-market strategies for new features and user growth.
- Strengthen the agent referral ecosystem to increase app adoption and repeat usage.
- Develop partnerships with local merchants, NBFCs, ONDC participants, and government initiatives to integrate value-added services.
Market Research & Insights :
- Conduct field visits, surveys, and focus groups to deeply understand rural consumer behavior and pain points.
- Use feedback loops and data analytics to guide product decisions and improvements.
- Monitor KPIs related to acquisition, retention, user engagement, and monetization, and deliver actionable reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
- 10- 15 years of experience in product management, business development, or rural marketing.
- Proven success in launching or scaling digital products in rural or semi-urban India.
- Strong grasp of rural distribution models, cultural behavior, and communication patterns.
- Proficiency in app analytics tools, user testing, and agile product development.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel for field visits and rural user research.
