Position: Analyst and Senior Analyst US Taxation

- We are looking to hire Analysts and Senior Analysts in the field of US Taxation to be a part of our growing global tax team.


- This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Onshore Tax Team based in New York, supporting a broad set of tax compliance activities related to Federal and State Tax regulations, primarily for clients in the Private Equity domain.


Key Responsibilities:


- As a tax analyst, you will be responsible for managing a variety of tasks that ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.


- A significant portion of the role involves tracking and maintaining Federal and State tax notices, documenting their status, and ensuring timely resolution of notices by either contacting the tax authorities directly or drafting formal responses to the respective agencies.


- You will also be expected to track tax adjustments, penalties, and credit carryforward adjustments, ensuring they are accurately reflected and properly reconciled. Establishing and managing accounts on state tax portals will also be part of your scope.


- The role includes preparation and review of multiple tax forms, such as 1065, 1120, 588, 1099, W-8, 8832, 8875, 8865, and 8937, with a strong emphasis on compliance accuracy and consistency with current tax laws. You will also conduct Federal and State K-1 Schedule reviews for all partners and prepare supporting work papers to calculate partnership taxable income.


- For those at the Senior Analyst level, you may also be expected to guide junior team members, review their work, and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the taxation workflow.


Desired Candidate Profile:


- We are looking for postgraduates or Chartered Accountants (CA) with a background in accounting, taxation, or finance. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in US tax compliance and filing is required, with preference given to those with experience in the Private Equity industry or partnership accounting.


The ideal candidate should have:


- Strong working knowledge of tax laws and compliance standards in the United States.


- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


- A demonstrated ability to analyze large sets of tax data, think critically, and make decisions independently.


- The capacity to multitask and manage deliverables under tight deadlines.


- A collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a cross-functional international team.


- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to summarize complex tax information clearly and concisely.


- A high degree of professionalism and adaptability in a global work environment.


- This role offers exposure to complex tax structures, high-quality training, and the opportunity to work on international tax issues while building a strong foundation in US Taxation and Private Equity structures.
