Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and performance-driven Product Marketing Manager to lead strategic brand initiatives in our Ophthalmology division. The ideal candidate brings a blend of field-based sales understanding and marketing acumen to drive targeted campaigns, KOL engagement, and market penetration strategies. This is a key role in shaping brand success and commercial outcomes within a competitive therapeutic segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Brand Management:
- Develop and own end-to-end marketing strategies for assigned ophthalmic brands aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, therapy evolution, and competitive landscape to proactively identify growth opportunities.
- Design differentiated brand positioning, value propositions, and messaging frameworks.
Campaign Development & Execution:
- Conceptualize and implement integrated marketing campaigns, including doctor engagement programs, CME initiatives, and digital activations.
- Execute KOL engagement strategies, ensuring alignment with brand narratives and scientific messaging.
- Track and measure campaign effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative KPIs.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales leadership and field teams to ensure marketing strategy translates into ground-level execution.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Training, and Supply Chain for seamless implementation of marketing initiatives.
- Conduct regular field visits to assess campaign adoption and gather physician and rep feedback.
Performance Monitoring & Business Review:
- Lead monthly and quarterly brand reviews, evaluating sales trends, ROI on campaigns, market share shifts, and regional brand performance.
- Manage brand budgets, sampling strategy, and promotional spends with ROI accountability.
- Ensure timely resolution of field queries and operational challenges through structured communication protocols.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking:
- Continuously track competitor strategies, pricing shifts, and customer behavior to adapt marketing approaches.
- Monitor regulatory, technological, and therapeutic innovations influencing ophthalmic treatment paradigms.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Science/Pharma/Technology; MBA in Marketing or Pharma Management from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of core marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in ophthalmology or biosimilars (MAB).
- Prior field sales experience in specialty therapies is an added advantage.
