Key Account Manager - Field Sales ( Hospital Care )


Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager Field Sales to manage and grow relationships with top hospital accounts. This role is critical in driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding product penetration, and positioning our brand as a trusted partner in hospital care. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in hospital sales, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence decision-makers and key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

Account Management & Growth:

- Manage and nurture relationships with high-value hospital accounts to ensure sustainable growth and long-term partnerships.

- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities within existing and new hospital accounts.

- Develop and execute account strategies, including pipeline development and conversion planning, aligned to business objectives.


Sales & Revenue Delivery:


- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned territory and accounts.

- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, addressing barriers to access and ensuring product positioning.

- Build accurate state-wise sales forecasts and align them with budget and performance goals.


Stakeholder Engagement:


- Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Key Business Leaders (KBLs), and other influential stakeholders within hospital networks.

- Promote the organizations value propositions and brand differentiators to enhance recall and loyalty among healthcare professionals.


Operational Excellence:


- Conduct regular account performance reviews and take corrective actions to meet objectives.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies during interactions and promotional activities.

- Maintain updated doctor lists and account data in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

- Collaborate with internal teams, including Commercial Excellence, to design performance dashboards and provide actionable insights.


Market Insights & Strategy:


- Contribute to strategic planning by sharing market intelligence and competitor insights.

- Support business development initiatives to expand into new hospitals and territories.


Qualifications & Experience:


Education: Bachelors degree in Science or equivalent; MBA preferred.

Experience: 6 to 9+ years of successful sales and key account management in hospitals, preferably within pharmaceutical, medical devices, or healthcare solutions.


Technical Skills:


- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM or other sales automation tools.

- Strong analytical and reporting skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
