
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Finance team as Deputy Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis. This role involves managing and executing state program rebate processes (primarily Medicaid), preparing financial reports, identifying discrepancies in state invoicing, and supporting cross-functional finance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of healthcare finance processes, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Rebate Management:
- Calculate, validate, and process Medicaid and State Program rebates in accordance with applicable legislative timelines and internal policies.
- Prepare and submit required financial reports and rebate documentation to state agencies.
Dispute Resolution:
- Identify anomalies or irregularities in claims and proactively recommend disputes where appropriate.
- Prepare and submit detailed dispute backup packages to relevant state programs.
- Investigate discrepancies in state invoices, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective measures to mitigate future issues.
Payment Processing:
- Validate and submit payments in line with department guidelines and established procedures.
- Update and maintain rebate trackers and other financial documentation related to assigned payments.
Analysis & Reporting:
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support decision-making and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Support FP&A activities including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis as required.
Cross-functional Projects:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and financial controls.
- Support audits and compliance reviews as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration; MBA in Finance preferred.
Experience:
- Total: Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Relevant: Minimum 2 years in Medicaid rebate processing, FP&A, or similar roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare domain.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
