
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly competent and experienced professional to lead and manage warehouse and distribution operations in a regulated, cGMP-compliant environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive exposure to pharmaceutical warehousing practices, SOP governance, material management, and cross-functional coordination. The role demands a strategic mindset, strong execution capabilities, and leadership in ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Material Management:
- Plan, procure, evaluate, and control inventories of raw materials, packaging materials, and engineering spares aligned with production schedules.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability and usage of materials.
- Oversee the return or destruction of rejected, obsolete, or expired materials in accordance with SOPs and MSDS guidelines.
Warehouse Operations & Compliance:
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations with strict adherence to SOPs, cGMP norms, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, dispensing, and dispatch of materials with complete traceability and documentation.
- Supervise environmental monitoring of storage areas and maintain temperature, humidity, and cleanliness standards.
Process Governance & Documentation:
- Prepare, review, and revise departmental SOPs ensuring alignment with QMS and regulatory changes.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of MIS reports, audit trails, and compliance logs.
- Maintain all statutory and regulatory records as per internal audit and external inspection requirements.
Equipment & Infrastructure Management:
- Coordinate with Engineering for preventive maintenance, calibration of weighing balances, and equipment qualification.
- Assist in execution and documentation of qualification studies, including temperature mapping and area classification.
Audit Readiness & QMS Leadership:
- Lead internal and external audits (regulatory, customer, quality) representing the warehouse function.
- Own change controls, deviations, and CAPA related to warehouse activities ensuring timely closure and compliance.
Dispatch & Distribution:
- Manage dispatch operations ensuring timely delivery of finished goods with accurate documentation and compliance.
- Collaborate with logistics partners and customer service to streamline outbound operations and issue resolution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.Sc / B.Com or equivalent (Science/Commerce background preferred).
- Experience: 10 - 12 years of relevant experience in warehouse and distribution management in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing industry.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of cGMP, GDP, QMS, and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Well-versed in SOP development, MSDS guidelines, and documentation practices
- Hands-on with ERP/WMS systems and inventory management software
- Exposure to equipment qualification, calibration schedules, and preventive maintenance coordination
