
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager - PMO to support project governance, resource management, and portfolio oversight within our organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the pharmaceutical industry, a solid understanding of project management methodologies, and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Governance:
- Establish and implement project management standards, processes, and methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to best practices across all projects.
- Monitor project progress, performance, and compliance with governance frameworks.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers and project teams.
Resource Management:
- Allocate and manage resources effectively across projects.
- Resolve resource conflicts and manage interdependencies.
- Conduct capacity planning and resource forecasting.
Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare and present regular status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to senior leadership.
- Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and performance reviews.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards.
- Conduct quality reviews, compliance checks, and audits.
Portfolio Management:
- Manage the overall project portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business goals, impact, and resource availability.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive process improvements within the PMO framework.
- Implement lessons learned from completed projects.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and learning.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure business alignment.
- Support change management activities related to project execution.
- Leverage advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong academic record required.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within a PMO function.
- Mandatory experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with commercial exposure.
- Demonstrated experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with senior leadership.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
