About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and goal-oriented Sales Assistant Manager to spearhead business development and key account management in the OEM and pharmaceutical sectors across the Pune region. This role is ideal for a technically-inclined sales professional with strong industry knowledge, proven client engagement capabilities, and a track record of exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage strategic sales activities targeting OEMs and pharmaceutical companies in the Pune region.
- Identify and convert high-potential leads into long-term business relationships.
- Build and maintain strong connections with key decision-makers, including procurement and technical stakeholders.
- Understand technical specifications of industrial products (e.g., gaskets, seals, valves, tubing) and offer tailored solutions to clients.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as production, logistics, and QA/QC to ensure seamless delivery and support.
- Track, analyze, and report on sales metrics and pipeline performance on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote brand visibility.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Provide market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor analysis to senior leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Masters' Engineering/ Management or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in sales or business development within industrial, OEM, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong technical understanding of industrial components and products.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting platforms.
- Willingness to travel within Pune and nearby industrial zones.
