Position Summary
The Senior Business Analyst will act as a vital liaison between our business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading requirement analysis, understanding complex business problems, and translating them into functional specifications and system requirements. With 4-6 years of experience, you will be expected to manage multiple projects, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our business analysis processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Elicitation & Analysis: Lead workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to elicit, analyze, and validate business and system requirements from stakeholders at all levels.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive, high-quality documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Use Cases, User Stories, and Process Flow Diagrams (As-Is & To-Be).
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and communication bridge between business units, technology teams, and support teams to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and requirements.
- Solution Assessment & Validation: Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Work with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet business objectives.
- Project Lifecycle Support: Collaborate closely with Project Managers on project planning, scoping, and risk management. Support the development and QA teams by clarifying requirements, resolving queries, and participating in system testing.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop UAT plans and test cases, and facilitate UAT sessions with end-users to ensure the final product is fit for purpose.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvements. Contribute to the development and implementation of BA best practices, templates, and tools within the organization.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior Business Analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and excellence.
- Data Analysis: Utilize SQL and other tools to perform data analysis, understand data flows, and support data-driven decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-6 years of proven experience in a Business Analyst role, with a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering on complex projects.
- Methodologies: Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with SDLC methodologies, particularly Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall.
Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise in creating clear and concise requirement documentation.
- Proficiency in process modeling and diagramming tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io).
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills for data querying and analysis.
