Role Overview:
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Offline Sales to lead our field-based sales strategy and execution.
- This leadership role is pivotal to driving adoption of the AiSensy platform across retail, MSME, and service sectors through an on-ground, high-touch sales approach.
- You will be responsible for driving offline SaaS adoption through direct field outreach, managing regional sales teams, ensuring post-sale success, and owning the P&L of the offline channel.
- This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strategic vision, operational excellence, and a hands-on execution mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team of Territory Managers, Team Leads (TLs), Area Sales Managers, Customer Success Executives, and Field Sales Reps.
- Build a high-performance, KPI-driven team culture focused on revenue generation and retention.
- Set clear goals, run regular performance reviews, and create capability development plans.
Offline Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Design and execute scalable offline sales strategies to penetrate key Tier 1, 2, and 3 markets.
- Drive end-to-end P&L ownership of offline sales channels.
- Develop and refine regional sales playbooks tailored to sector-specific needs (Retail, MSME, Education, Services, etc.
- Ensure daily field activity, lead pipeline management, demos, and deal closures through the team.
Training & Enablement:
- Design and execute structured onboarding & training modules for all field sales roles.
- Collaborate with the product team to align sales training with evolving product capabilities.
- Regularly coach team members on consultative selling, customer engagement, and objection handling.
Customer Success & Retention:
- Ensure seamless post-sale onboarding, training, and support in coordination with customer success managers.
- Own key retention and usage metrics through on-ground engagement.
- Identify churn signals early and lead proactive interventions.
Process, Reporting & Analytics:
- Maintain real-time visibility on sales performance through dashboards and CRM tools.
- Analyze regional performance trends and implement corrective action plans.
- Report weekly and monthly metrics to leadership, highlighting risks and growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Must have worked in the SaaS industry for a minimum of 3-5 years, in a sales leadership or expansion role.
- 8-12 years of experience in B2B/SME Sales, including 3-5 years managing Team Leads, Area Managers, and Field Executives.
- Proven ability to manage P&L, scale sales operations, and drive performance through large teams.
- Strong experience in training, mentoring, and managing distributed on-ground sales teams.
- Exposure to SaaS, CRM tools, and customer success functions.
- Analytical mindset with strong reporting discipline.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively (5070% of time).
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a fast-paced SaaS startup or with WhatsApp-based automation tools.
- Prior sales leadership experience in Retail Tech, MSME SaaS, or Communication Tools.
- Fluency in English and one or more regional languages.
