Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE management systems, policies, and standards.
- Advise leadership and employees on health, safety, and environmental risk management practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action tracking.
- Deliver training, awareness campaigns, and toolbox talks to strengthen HSE culture.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE legislation, company policies, and international standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Support regulatory reporting and liaison with authorities when required.
- Monitor and interpret new or changing HSE regulations and assess potential business impact.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with compliance requirements.
Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a subject matter expert, advising management and operational teams on HSE&C issues.
- Partner with business units and contractors to ensure alignment with company safety and compliance expectations.
- Promote a proactive safety culture, encouraging open communication and reporting of hazards and near misses.
- Provide input into strategic initiatives to embed sustainability, safety, and compliance in business operations.
Performance & Improvement:
- Analyze HSE&C performance data and provide insights to management.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in safety performance, environmental impact, and compliance.
- Support the development and tracking of KPIs to measure effectiveness of HSE&C programs
