Job Summary:
AGL - Hakuhodo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager E-commerce to lead and execute the online sales and marketing strategies for our brands across various e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing product cataloguing, optimizing online content, managing relationships with platform partners, and driving promotional activities. This role requires a strong understanding of the e-commerce landscape, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage and potentially mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall process of product cataloguing and listings across all relevant e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Quick Commerce platforms).
- Ensure the team maintains accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product information, including titles, descriptions, images, specifications, and pricing.
- Develop and enforce standardized cataloguing guidelines and processes for the team to follow.
- Oversee regular reviews and updates of existing listings to optimize for search visibility, conversion rates, and overall performance.
- Supervise the maintenance and updating of product master data with accurate and relevant information, ensuring alignment with inputs from Brand Managers.
- Coordinate with Brand Managers to ensure the team receives necessary product details, specifications, and marketing information for online listings.
- Oversee the team's management of task trackers to monitor the progress of listings, content updates, and other e-commerce related activities, ensuring timely completion.
- Lead the team in executing the new product listing process on e-commerce platforms upon receiving relevant listing details from Brand Managers.
- Ensure the team efficiently and accurately completes NPD listings, verifying all required fields and information are correctly populated on each platform.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Brand, Marketing, Supply Chain) to ensure timely availability of product information and assets for new launches, guiding the team as needed.
- Drive the "Perfect Product" strategy by leading the team in e-content optimization efforts to enhance the online customer experience.
- Develop and guide the team in implementing strategies for optimizing base content (product titles, descriptions, key features).
- Oversee the creation of compelling Key Visuals (KVs) and guide the team in working with designers to develop visually appealing and informative product imagery.
- Develop and implement strategies for A+ content (enhanced brand content) on relevant platforms, ensuring the team effectively creates detailed product information, brand storytelling, and rich media elements.
- Lead the team in briefing designers on creative requirements for e-commerce assets, including banners, product images, A+ content modules, and other visual elements.
- Collaborate with designers and guide the team in ideating on creative concepts and developing best-in-class in-store customer experiences that align with brand guidelines and platform best practices.
- Ensure the team provides clear and concise briefs, ensuring designers understand the objectives and target audience for each creative development.
- Act as a key point of contact and manage relationships with content execution teams at various e-commerce platform partners (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Quick Commerce platforms).
- Coordinate with platform teams to ensure timely and accurate upload and implementation of optimized content, including base content, KVs, and A+ content, potentially delegating tasks to the team.
- Troubleshoot any content-related issues and work with platform partners to resolve them efficiently, guiding the team in their interactions.
- Lead the team in regularly conducting in-store audits on e-commerce platforms, both manually and through the use of tools like Clavis, to assess product listing quality, content effectiveness, and overall brand presence.
- Analyze audit findings and guide the team in developing action plans to enhance product listings and content.
- Oversee the team's efforts in tracking competitor activities and benchmarks through in-store audits.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand the promotional calendar and lead the team in planning for online banner activations.
- Ensure the team executes the timely activation of promotional banners on relevant e-commerce platforms in sync with marketing campaigns and timelines.
- Verify the accuracy and correct placement of promotional banners on the platform storefronts, potentially delegating this task to team members.
- Plan and oversee the team's execution of A/B testing for promotional banners to optimize click-through rates and overall campaign performance.
- Work with designers and guide the team in creating variations of banners and implementing A/B tests on e-commerce platforms.
- Monitor the performance of different banner versions, analyze results, and guide the team in identifying winning creatives and informing future banner designs.
Skill Set:
- MS Office Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, external partners, and platform representatives, as well as to lead and guide a team.
- MS PowerPoint: Strong proficiency in creating and delivering compelling presentations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage team workloads, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently, potentially guiding the team through challenges.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce best practices and platform-specific guidelines.
- Familiarity with e-commerce analytics and reporting, with the ability to guide the team in interpreting data.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 5 years in managing e-commerce operations, preferably within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.
- Experience working with major e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, and Quick Commerce platforms is essential.
- Prior experience in managing or leading a small team is highly desirable.
