Educational Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA / MBA / ICWA
Relevant Experience:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end closing, financial reporting, and reconciliations
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)
Client Management
- Conduct regular client calls to ensure service quality and satisfaction
- Address client escalations promptly and effectively
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships to identify further business opportunities
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of 8-10 professionals comprising Bookkeepers, US Accountants, and Senior US Accountants
- Assign and manage workload based on team bandwidth and client deadlines
- Monitor team performance for accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Conduct periodic one-on-one coaching and training sessions to upskill the team
- Create and maintain detailed SOPs and training materials (including Loom videos) for standard processes
Accounting Operations
- Review financial statements, balance sheets, P&L reports, and account reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to clients
- Manage inter-company reconciliations and vendor/customer account reconciliations
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Drive continuous improvements in accounting workflows and client service delivery
- Generate periodic management reports on team performance, client satisfaction, and resource allocation
- Maintain a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables
Required Skillsets
- Strong understanding of US Accounting Standards (GAAP) and regulatory compliance
- Hands-on experience in US Month-end Closing and Reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Proven ability to handle overseas clients and manage cross-cultural communication
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with prior experience handling at least 2-member teams
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar ERP tools
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Comfortable preparing SOPs and training documentation for scalable team practices
