About the Role:
- We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager - Railways to manage and expand strategic relationships with clients in the Railways sector.
- This role requires strong account management, solution-selling, and stakeholder engagement skills to drive revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
- The ideal candidate should have prior experience handling large government/public sector accounts, preferably in railways, transportation, or infrastructure technology domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end client relationships with key railway accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business growth.
- Develop a deep understanding of railway industry requirements, procurement processes, and regulations.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell solutions aligned with the client's needs and organizational goals.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, and technical authorities within Railways.
- Drive RFP/RFQ responses, contract negotiations, and bid management in collaboration with internal teams.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, account growth, and revenue objectives.
- Work closely with technical, delivery, and support teams to ensure smooth solution implementation.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to refine go-to-market strategies.
- Provide regular account performance reports and forecasts to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 6-12 years of account management / sales experience in large accounts, ideally in Railways, Transportation, Infrastructure, or Government sector.
- Strong knowledge of Railway operations, digital transformation initiatives, and procurement processes.
- Proven track record in handling high-value deals, long sales cycles, and government stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business acumen with ability to align solutions to customer needs.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Indian Railways, Metro Rail Corporations, or Railway PSUs.
- Knowledge of Smart Rail solutions, IoT, signaling systems, ERP/CRM solutions, or automation technologies.
- Prior experience in tender management / government business development
