Position Overview
The Supply Chain Manager - Logistics Projects will be responsible for driving strategic logistics expansion and transformation initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, cost leadership, and high service levels across the distribution network. This role will oversee infrastructure upgrades, warehouse transitions, network optimization, and the implementation of advanced supply chain technologies, while ensuring compliance with statutory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Logistics Projects & Infrastructure Development
- Lead logistics expansion projects in alignment with business needs.
- Drive infrastructure upgrades at CFAs and manage warehouse transitions.
- Collaborate with Global Purchase to finalize RFQs.
- Execute network optimization strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and implement the long-term distribution strategy roadmap.
2. Supply Chain Excellence
- Ensure statutory compliance across all CFAs.
- Conduct CFA certification audits and address gaps.
- Identify and implement service level improvement initiatives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain.
- Support global supply chain projects and best practice adoption.
- Conduct periodic RFQs and e-auctions to drive cost leadership.
- Manage end-to-end SAP enhancement projects.
3. Warehouse Management
- Oversee Primary Distribution Centres (PDCs).
- Implement SAP WMS across all PDCs.
- Benchmark industry practices and introduce automation in warehousing operations.
4. Budgeting & Spend Management
- Prepare and manage the Freight & Distribution (F&D) budget.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and profitability.
- Review General Ledger (GL) and Cost Centre (CC) postings monthly.
- Track and report budget vs. actual spend with regular dashboards.
5. Distribution Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to Distribution QA SOPs for new site qualifications.
- Partner with Distribution QA teams during global audits.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Postgraduate qualification in SALES , MARKETING , SUPPLY CHAIN , LOGISTICS
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in large-scale supply chain and logistics project management.
- Strong expertise in CFA/Warehouse management, Sales Commercial, SAP, and Transport operations.
Skills:
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
