Abbott - Manager - Business Finance

Main Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager - Business Finance to join our team as an individual contributor. This role requires a strong foundation in financial and economic analysis, forecasting, and planning. You will be responsible for leading complex financial projects, interpreting key financial data, and supporting strategic decision-making by evaluating alternate financial plans.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of financial modeling, cost management, and business forecasting and possess the ability to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform and lead complex financial analysis projects, including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.

- Interpret financial data related to revenues, expenses, costs, investments, cash flow, and profitability to support strategic decision-making.

- Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards for senior management with actionable recommendations.

- Evaluate economic indicators and trends to forecast the company's short-, medium-, and long-term financial position.

- Develop new methods for analyzing financial data and improve presentation and reporting formats.

- Identify financial risks and opportunities, recommending appropriate solutions or strategies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with financial planning.

- May mentor or provide guidance to junior financial analysts as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).

Experience:

- Minimum 4 years of experience in financial analysis, business finance, or a related field.

- Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data interpretation.

- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) is an advantage.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
