Abbott - Business Development Manager

Main Purpose of the Role:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving all business development activities, including project execution, strategic planning, financial analysis, and client relationship management. The role requires managing complex projects, developing new processes, and providing expert input across financial, legal, regulatory, and operational frameworks to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and execute business development initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

- Identify and develop new project opportunities by evaluating financial, legal, tax, and regulatory factors.

- Design and implement project structures to suit operational and financial objectives.

- Serve as a subject matter expert in economic modeling and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis.

- Conduct in-depth financial evaluations to support investment decisions.

- Use sound judgment and strategic insight to recommend and develop project execution techniques.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success.

- Mentor and guide junior professionals within the team to support their development.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and market trends.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, corporate strategy, or financial analysis roles.

- Strong analytical skills with expertise in economic modeling and DCF.

- In-depth understanding of financial, tax, and legal considerations in project development.

- Proven ability to manage complex projects independently.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.

- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
