Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Business Manager (ABM) for our GI Optima division in Ahmedabad. The ABM will be responsible for achieving sales targets, driving growth, and managing the performance of a team of Territory Business Executives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, market understanding, and a passion for driving excellence in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive sales growth and market share in the assigned territory for the GI Optima portfolio.

- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Territory Business Executives to achieve and exceed sales targets.

- Plan and execute field activities including doctor visits, CMEs, and promotional events.

- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adapt strategies accordingly.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and institutions.

- Ensure team adherence to Abbott's code of conduct, policies, and compliance requirements.

- Review team performance regularly and provide actionable feedback for continuous improvement.

- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and operational issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Graduate in Science / Pharmacy; MBA preferred.

- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.

- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.

- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

- Familiarity with the GI therapeutic area will be an added advantage.
